Psychologist. Educator. Speaker. Advocate.

I'm often asked how I came to specialize in multiple sclerosis. I went to graduate school to become a health psychologist. During my graduate training, I had the opportunity to work in a local multiple sclerosis clinic, and instantly felt at home. From there I decided to dedicate my clinical and research work to better understanding the emotional and cognitive challenges faced by people living with multiple sclerosis.

I quickly became aware of the numerous obstacles and difficulties that individuals and families encounter while dealing with this diagnosis. My aim is to collaborate with you, advocacy organizations, and professionals to work towards overcoming these challenges. Additionally, my passion for improving care led me to create Find Empathy which provides free directory listings of mental health providers that specialize in medical populations plus continuing education opportunities for professionals focused on how best they can serve those affected by life-altering illnesses.

Podcast Host

Individuals with multiple sclerosis, and other chronic illnesses, often want to work a mental health provider who “gets it.”

This is why I started Find Empathy. On this site, I host a podcast, provide continuing education to mental health professionals, and host a free directory of medically informed therapists.
